Parties involved

The BNI tool has been developed by a team of researchers from three Dutch universities:

Prof. dr. ir. O.A.M. Fisscher (o.a.m.fisscher@sms.utwente.nl) is professor in Quality Management and Business Ethics at the Faculty of Business, Public Administration and Technology, University of Twente. His research focuses on Corporate Social Responsiblity and Innovation Management. He is the author of numerous articles and books on organisational values, quality management and leadership. He is editor of the Journal Creativity and Innovation Management and is member of the executive board of the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN).

Dr. Jan Jonker (janjonker@wxs.nl) is an associate professor at the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) of the University of Nijmegen [RU - Holland]. He has run his own consultancy practice for over fifteen years. His research interest lies at the crossroads of strategic management and corporate social responsibility in particular in relation to the development of business strategy. He is among/one of the founding members of the Dutch National Research Network on CSR, actively participates in this network as a researcher and is on the board of this network. Over the years he has published more than a hundred articles and written several books, either on his own or with others.

Dr. Ir. André Nijhof (a.h.j.nijhof@sms.utwente.nl) is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Business, Public Administration and Technology of the University of Twente (Enschede). Stakeholder theory, ethics of care and organisational change management are important themes in his current research. He has published in journals such as the International Journal of Value Based Management, Journal of Business Ethics and the Leadership and Organisation Development Journal, in addition to several publications in Dutch books and journals. Besides his appointment at the university, he works part-time at the management consultancy firm Q-Consult (Arnhem).

Drs. Michel van Pijkeren (Mvanpijkeren@hotmail.com) is engaged in this research as a junior researcher at University of Nijmgen. He recently received his Masters degree in International Management at the Nijmegen School of Management. His Master thesis was based on research into implementation of CSR at twelve companies from a change management perspective. Besides his appointment at the university he works part time as a quality adviser at the Bosch group.

Drs. Alex van der Zwart (avdzwart@eenkwestievan.nl or azwart@rsm.nl) is freelance researcher and consultant with connections to several institutes, e.g. Department of Business-Society Management (Rotterdam School of Management), CSR Academy and several other research and higher educational institutes. His research, lectures and papers focus mainly on the interaction between civil society, corporations and government, and topics related to Corporate Social Responsibility, issues management and reputation. Alex has a MScBA from the Rotterdam School of Management with a major in Business-Society Management. Besides this, he has a BA degree in International Business and Management Studies/ Marketing International Management from the Haagse Hogeschool (University of Professional Education). He has worked and studies abroad in Ottawa (Canada) and Johannesburg (South-Africa). He is the author of “Reputaties op het spel, maatschappelijke verantwoord ondernemen in een onderhandelingssamenleving’ (Van Tulder en Van der Zwart, Het Spectrum, 2003; nominated for Management book 2004) and the English book ‘International Business-Society Management’ (Routledge Publishing, 2006, www.ib-sm.org). Besides these books he publishes in communication and management books and magazines. He is the founder of the research and consulting firm “Een Kwestie Van!” in The Hague(www.eenkwestievan.nl).

This project is part of the Dutch research program Corporate Social Responsibility that is financed by the department of Economic Affairs. In this research program seven Universities participate in eight research projects.

The software application is developed by Graphical Knowledge Design (www.gk-design.nl).
